Changing name servers from Dyandot to other Provider

We would like to change the name servers for one domain we have at dynadot from dynadot DNS to external servers. As soon as we update the name servers to the external servers, the dyandot name servers stop responding and our website is inaccessible. Is there any way that dynadot's servers can keep responding to DNS requests for at least 24 hours so our site doesn't go down?
