I would like to set up *.sub.example.com to point at an A record, so that anything.sub.example.com and somethingelse.sub.example.com will all point at the same ip address.. is this possible with dynadot?
Dynadot does support wildcard domains, however, it is only supported on the subdomain level.
Sub.example.com would work fine, but not a sub of that, such as in the provided examples of anything.sub.example.com and somethingelse.sub.example.com. Everything would redirect from sub.example.com to the IP address you want to point it to.
Any update on this -- the lack of support for wildcards is both surprising and frustrating (enough that i am considering moving over 50 domains to another provider)
Hi, you can create a smart folder: https://www.dynadot.com/community/help/question/create-smart-folder Then set the default DNS settings: https://www.dynadot.com/community/help/question/folder-name-server
