Forgot payment - does email work?

I do host elsewhere using nameserve. I missed my payment for domain name by 2 days for one of my clients. Dynadot turned off redirection (it seems) straight after the payment did not occur. Did that affected delivery of emails for that domain in those two days?

Yes, you do lose website and email service when your domain registration expires.  If you contact us when this happens, we may be able to assist.
