How do I change IPs???
9/6/2007 01:35
My host changed servers, so he also changed his IPs. He told me to change my IPs, but I can't find anything on my dynadot  control panel! How do I go about changing my IPs to reflect this new server?

Go to "Account Area" -> "Domains" -> (then pick the individual domain you want, then click the line "NS:whatever..." - right after the date).

This will display a screen "Edit Name Server Settings for (yourdomainname)". Depending how you've configured your domain here, the settings on this page may contain just the names of a pair of your webhost's domain name servers or an outside address to which to redirect. If so, you needn't do anything.

If, however, these contain a numeric IP address or a name server that's within your own domain, you'll need to update these numbers.

And to update name servers within your own domain, you would click on the "Name Servers" submenu. Then click on the name server that needs changing and enter in the new IP address for your registered name server.
