Setting the Domain for Minecraft Server
8/2/2013 17:11
I really need help setting up the DNS to work for my Minecraft server and I need to setup an SRV Record and an A record here are the details I need to fill in:

First set up a SRV Record:

Service: _minecraft.
Protocol: _tcp.mc
TTL: 3600
Priority: 0
Weight: 5
Port: Your MC servers port
Target: mcsrv.yourdomain.com.

Then set up an A-Record with this info

Host: mcsrv
IP: your.servers.ip.addr

Thing is I don't know how to do that because there is no such thing as a Service and Protocol for SRV and Host for A record.

I really need help with this.

The working SRV records I've seen put both service and protocol in the subdomain field with a [dot] in between.  For you, this would be _minecraft._tcp.mc

Right now you have _minecraft and _tcp.mc as separate subdomains.  The rest of the formatting looks absolutely correct as
0 5 25574 mcsrv.voxel-world.com

I'll add in a new record for you as, I think, it should be entered.  Please let us know if that ends up working for you.
