A registry lock usually means that the locked domain cannot be transferred to another domain registrar until it is unlocked.  This is to prevent others from attempting to transfer the domain without the domain owner's permission.

This is helpful when you do not want your domain to be transferred to another domain registrar.

Thanks for the explanation.

I have 1 more question plz.

I locked or atleast think that I locked my dynadot domains. Does that mean that I cannot move them out to another registrar.

I mean it's all good but if I had used registerfly and locked my domains there, I guess I would of lost them all cause they went out of business.

If a domain is locked, then you cannot transfer your domain to another domain registrar until it is unlocked.  It can be both a good or bad thing depending on the circumstances.

If you have trouble unlocking your domains, please email us at [email protected].
