Changing default credit card

I have changed my default credit card, and it recently caused a problem with a domain renewal.

Will it cause a problem in the future, or will the system now honor the change for future renewals? If the problem will continue, please tell me what to do to prevent that.

No, it should not cause a problem in the future if you have updated the card to a valid one.
