I have placed a bid on https://www.dynadot.com/market/auction/lydia-lunch.org but I'm requesting Dynadot to retract it as the domain, I have found, puts me at risk of violating the Anti Cybersquatting Consumer Protection Act (ACCPA) which "protects personal names from domain registration and monetizing by third parties. Penalties can be pretty stiff. If you register a famous persons name as a domain name in order to profit, and so in bad faith, you could be liable for up to $100,000 in statutory damages plus attorneys fees per domain name."

Regrettably, we are unable to remove the bid you have placed since there is more than one bidder in the auction.

Fortunately I've been outbid. I learned a few things about copyright law researching the domain so it wasn't all in vain ...
